Educational Stages

- Kindergarten/ Pre-school
- Primary
- Preparatory
- Secondary
Examination and Certification System
The Al-Azhar Institute adheres to a structured educational system as outlined below:
Firstly: The academic year is segmented into two distinct semesters for the transitional classes, ranging from the first grade of primary education to the second grade of secondary education. During these stages, students undergo oral examinations each semester in subjects such as the Holy Quran and the noble Hadith. Additionally, for the primary and preparatory levels, assessments in textual studies are conducted. Concurrently, comprehensive written examinations covering all academic disciplines are administered for the aforementioned educational levels.
At the conclusion of the first semester, a detailed report is disseminated, summarizing the students’ performance and grades from the initial semester examinations. Following the second semester, a cumulative marksheet is issued, encapsulating the aggregate scores from both semesters. It is imperative to note that all examinations in transitional classes are conducted internally and are meticulously overseen by the institute’s administrative body.
Secondly: Examinations for students in the certification stages (sixth grade of primary education, third grade of preparatory education, and third grade of secondary education) are held at the end of the second semester only. These examinations encompass the curricula of both the first and second academic semesters. They are organized at the end of the academic year according to a schedule determined by the institute’s administration in coordination with Al-Azhar Al-Sharif. The academic results of the students, along with an equivalent certificate from Al-Azhar Al-Sharif of the Arab Republic of Egypt, are issued thereafter.
