Scholarship and Financial Aid Policy

Introduction

This policy outlines scholarships and financial aid opportunities for learners enrolled at the Al Quran Institute. The framework encourages academic excellence and strives to remove financial barriers that may prevent eligible students from achieving their educational goals.

Eligibility for scholarships or financial aid is based on several criteria:

Note: Our financial aid policy is primarily based on academic performance and is contingent upon fund availability. To qualify, the student must demonstrate consistent academic excellence, mainatin a minimum average as specified by the Al Quran Institute regulation, and meet any additional criteria outlined in the announcement for each scholarship.

 

Types of Financial Aid and Scholarships:

 

Application Process

  1. Application Form: Complete the specific financial aid or scholarship form.
  2. Documentation: Submit transcripts, proof of income, tax returns, and other necessary papers.
  3. Personal Statement: Submit a brief essay outlining your motivations, educational goals, and financial need.
  4. Deadlines: Ensure applications are submitted by the specified deadlines.

 

Review and Selection Process

  1. Review Committee: A dedicated committee will review applications based on academic performance, financial need, and the applicant’s commitment to the course.
  2. Decision Notification: Applicants will be notified of the decision via email within the timeframe specified in the announcement.
  3. Acceptance Requirements: Recipients may be required to formally accept the scholarship or financial aid offer formally through An Nour Institute’s website.

 

Conditions and Obligations

  1. Completion of Al Quran for Each License: Financial aid or scholarship recipients must complete the Quran for each license (certification or ijazah). Failure to do so may result in the loss of the scholarship and affect future eligibility.
  2. Hourly System for Each License: An hourly system of 30-50 hours is applied for each license. The student must complete the Quran for each license within the specified period, or they will be responsible for the cost of additional hours.
  3. Progress Reports: Financial aid recipients may be required to submit progress reports or updates on learning outcomes.

 

Renewal and Continuance

  1. Multi-Level Programs: For multi-level Quranic recitation programs or advanced specialization, financial aid or scholarships will be renewed for each level, provided satisfactory academic performance is maintained or financial need continues.
  2. Reapplication: In other situatuions, learners who need ongoing financial support may be required to reapply for aid or scholarship for each new course or program.

 

Transparency and Confidentiality

The selection criteria and process will be communicated transparently. All personal and financial information provided will remain confidential and be used solely to determine eligibility.

 

Policy Updates and Reviews

This policy is subject to periodic review and may be updated to reflect changes in available offerings, financial aid availability, or other relevant factors. Current and prospective learners will be informed of any policy changes in a timely manner.

Note: Please be aware that the An Nour Institute for Al Azhar Education does not receive funds from any government or official entities. Financial aids are provided by generous Muslim donors, with a portion potentially allocated from Zakat funds for students of Islamic knowledge.
