Following the successful soft opening of its online platform at the 55th Cairo International Book Fair, An-Nour Institute for Al-Azhar Education has begun recording specialized lectures for its global student body. These lectures are delivered by esteemed scholars and professors from Al-Azhar University and Cairo University, representing diverse Islamic world countries.
The recordings took place at Rock Studio, a highly regarded production facility in Cairo known for its cutting-edge equipment, creative team, and convenient location. An Nour Institute selected this studio for its commitment to excellence in both filming and editing. This first batch of courses feature Professor Dr. Abd Al-Fattah Khadr, Dean of the Faculty of the Holy Qur’an, Al-Azhar University, and a renowned Ramadan Quran interpreter on Egyptian Radia Broadcast for more than thirty years. His lectures, titled An Introduction to the Interpretation of the Holy Qur’an, will be available soon on the institute’s website.
Understanding the need for a comprehensive curriculum, An Nour Institute has expanded its offerings in Quranic studies. Professor Dr. Amin Ismail Tawfiq Badran, assistant professor and department head of Arabic language and literature from Al-Azhar University, Tanta campus, has recorded a master piece lectures titled Quranic Rhetoric. Additionally, Professor Dr. Jumah Hamdi Ahmed Salem, a PhD holder and assistant professor of Quranic recitaion modes from Al-Azhar University, has delivered detailed lectures on the topic of Science of Quranic Recitation Modes. These lectures will also be made available on the institute’s website shortly.
Broadening Educational Horizons
Recognizing the importance of contemporary issues and educational sciences, An-Nour Institute has incorporated these topics into its curriculum. Professor Dr. Sayed Rashad Korany, Assistant Professor at Cairo University and a certified trainer from the University of Missouri, USA and Cairo University, has been enlisted to deliver two specialized courses on “Training Faculty Members” and “Critical Thinking”. This courses among many others will be added to the institute’s online platform in December 2024.
